I feel like there's a lot to be said about this movie but I am not smart enough to dissect it. For instance, why did they put gay porn in the slideshow at the end? Why was there foreboding music during the whiffleball game?

bump

tim heidecker is a cuck loser trying to stay relevent with shitty netflix sponsored "art" comedy.

it's a big fat meme and you fell for it

the movie came out 5 years ago.
>>
>>85537547
Has it really been that long?

Go away, Sam

the slideshow scene is there to show that eric's humor ended up backfiring on the group and him. he wanted to make an ironic joke by being sincere and showing his childhood to his friends with pornography thrown in for laughs, but he ends up making the whole group realize that they all used to have a childhood that wasn't post-ironic and depressing.
wiffle ball scene is there to show that, while the friends enjoy themselves, they'll end up doing the same aimless things they do everyday.
also, alverson, release the 4 hour cut of this you hack

Time flies when you're having fun

worth watching? I started it years ago but I think maybe because I was younger and more distracted, I couldn't get into it
>>
I enjoyed this when I watched it like 5 years ago but my memories of it are that it was pretentious and thought of itself as a lot deeper than it actually was
>>
>>85538057
the only really pretentious scene is when the girl has an epileptic fit and he doesn't do anything but keep drinking and staring. that was so utterly unrealistic it nearly ruins the movie
>>
this has one of the best movie soundtracks i've seen
perfectly captures the uselessness of williamsburg hipsters. great film.

maybe this is just me but I assumed she was faking the seizure to get out of fucking tim

A possibility for sure, but usually when a woman goes to your place of residence alone (or in this case your boat), unless she's super religious then you're probably going to have sex with her or at least a lot of foreplay.

Forgettable, just like everything Tim has ever created
>>
>>85538370
he didn't create this
>>
>>85538020
it's definitely worth a watch, even more so now that you're older

I'm convinced that this movie wins the award for "stopped watching early to mid-way through."
>>

Its non ironically a very solid and not pretentious film. The theme/message of perpetual adolescence is made very clear. Acting is great, well shot and great soundtrack and atmosphere. That these people exist is the tragedy the film wants you acknowledge. It's literally making fun of the same people /pol/ does - leftist childless hipsters

Tim is a big fat cuck though.

My brother and girlfriend both walked out first time I saw this. Five years later, I unironically think this is the film for our generation.
>>85538090
I loved that scene. Jarring. Not necessarily unrealistic, he didn't care about his own dad dying, doesn't care his own brother is insane, why should he care about his coworkers seizure? He just waits it out
