The Red Wedding was unironically better in the show. Although having Robb impregnate some random foreign whore instead of the daughter of a minor Noble family indebted to the Lannisters was a bit retarded.

D&D have indeed bastardized a lot of the book content and for whatever reason they're using Dany as the flagship character even though she was easily the worst parts of the books.

I got invested in the first couple of season, and now I'm just in for the ride no matter how shit it gets. Plus I like shitposting about it.
>What's so great about it?
Apart from bad exposition and tacky sex scene, first season was good. Every main character had a self contained arc for that season which led to character growth or death, and all of them were wrapped up neatly while also setting up the events of the next season. The characters were likable and fairly interesting, though none of them strayed too far from their archetypes. I enjoyed how the story fluidly snowballed into an avalanche from one event to another across the first three seasons. The newer seasons are not nearly as good though.

Possibly. It's not a very highbrow or intellectually demanding show. But there could be plenty of other reasons you don't like it. Maybe you're too dumb to follow the enormous amount of characters and information it's throwing at you from the first episode. Maybe you don't like the fantasy genre. Maybe you're too prudish about sex or skittish about violence. Maybe you're jaded. Who know. Ultimately it doesn't matter, you don't have to like something just because it's popular.

Dany is too dumb and incompetent to be a Sue. At the very least the show acknowledges her cruelty and dangerously capricious nature. Jon and Tyrion are straight up Sue's though. Unless the character is evil or stupid, they are obliged to sing their praises for at least thirty seconds whenever they are mentioned. And none of their mistakes are ever acknowledged as such.
