That's what I don't even get, the use of colour was great. Most of the movie was orange, yes, but the storm scene where everything was red and the night scene where everything was blue was a beautiful contrast.

I don't get it either. I rewatched the film in B&W and you just don't get the same sense of heat - with explosive-laden, gas-guzzling monster cars speeding through the desert - that the orange color grading evokes.

In the show itself the guy is Eichorst who started off as a miserable salesman in pre-WW2 Germany, he's constantly bullied by his colleagues but the chick takes pity on him and they go on a date. Of course they choose a pub where someone starts up the whole dialogue about why Germany is in the shitter and (((who))) is responsible so as they're leaving he's just going on and on about how so much of it makes sense that it's the Jews that are at fault, leading to her confessing and him spilling his spaghetti.

For all the Strain's faults, Eichorst's character isn't one of them, best backstory and a great actor to besides.
