If Lucas had sticked with the plan in spite of backlash and revealed Jar Jar Binks as the big bad, the Sith Lord even more powerful than Sheev, would the prequels have been better or worse? The reveal would have really been an incredible surpirse, but I don't know if it could redeem the whole thing.
unironically you need to go back

This was never the plan. The real plan was to have Jar-Jar's death turn anakin. Lucas wanted audiences to love jar-jar, not hate him. He killed padme instead, even though he wanted to avoid the killing of her, he felt it worked for the story better. There was an intended scene of padme on alderan with Jimmy smits.

>sticked
>stooked
>snooked
>snoke
Snoke is Jar Jar now 100% proven.

>Jar Jar is the key to all this
I want to know for sure he died in an Empire concentration camp. Being from Naboo though, Sheev might have shown him mercy.

It would have been more in line with the auteur theory of film so in that sense I imagine it would have reached greater poetic heights.
