https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Barsi
>Judith was last seen riding her bike on the morning of July 25, 1988.[3] That evening, József shot her in the head while she was sleeping, and then murdered Maria.[5] He spent the next two days wandering around the house,[3] and said during a phone conversation with Judith's agent the next night that he intended to move out for good, and just needed time to "say goodbye to my little girl."[1] He then poured gasoline on the bodies and set them on fire.[9]
>After incinerating the bodies, he went to the garage and shot himself in the head with a .32 caliber pistol.[10][11] On August 9, 1988, Judith and Maria were interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.[12]

Go back.
There were some really great films in the 1980's and 90's (The Secret of NIMH, the Prince of Egypt, etc.) that had darker themes and more adult storylines, but those studios couldn't compete with Disney and so all you get now Disney putting out variations of the same Princess movie over and over and over again.

Going by what Disney has spent on their movies, 3D is vastly more expensive. If 2D animation was really that expensive then I don't think it would even exist as we know it.

>those credits
Probably the first time I ever sat through credits as a child and felt strong emotions over a piece of music. Prepare to cry.

The question you really seem to be asking is "Why no Don Bluth?"
