it was a pretty good movie. especially if you have no expectations.
The Gantz manga fairly good but loses its way often. The ending is famously bad.
The Gantz anime is worth a watch, but not on the same level as Gantz:O.

The live action ones are mostly for those who like the series. Otherwise you won't get anything out of it. It's worth noting that if you continue reading the manga, you're gonna be in for a ride... one with a terrible ending.

Gay shit that they took out of the best scenes during that arc. I mean I guess I should have known better. Still looked nice.

The good thing about Gantz:O is that it matches up with the anime pretty well. The anime ends before the events of Gantz:O. It's almost a sequel-- but worth watching even before the anime since that preserves the movie's tweest

"GANTZ: 0" IS THE BEST ADAPTATION/ITERATION OF "GANTZ", BUT IT IS NOT NEARLY AS OPTIMAL AS THE MANGA; THE MANGA IS ONE OF THE "TOP TEN" BEST MANGAS EVER, AND MY FAVOURITE ONE.

Unfortunately, Gantz O is the only thing in the franchise worth seeing/reading. The manga has some pretty great moments especially towards the beginning, but it peters out so hard towards the end that it doesn't even feel like it was worth it. And the anime is dog shit.

at some point the story became too big for its own sake. when its just a little group fighting for their lives its fine but then the whole world gets involved and its weird.
