I honestly loved how useless the Sand Snakes seemed in the fight. Double daggers a shitty choice for fighting people with swords, a spear is a terrible choice for close combat (like on a boat), and whips aren't even weapons. When actually fighting people who knew what they were doing, they got completely wrecked.

I doubt the show was even trying to show that picking shit weapons gets you killed, but it was nice seeing some semblance of realism, even unintentionally.

Game of Thrones doesn't really show rape too often even in situations where you would logically expect it to happen. If you want that, read the books. If there's anything that made the fight realistic and good, it's the proper use of fists and legs.
Whatever weapons someone wields, punches and kicks always accompany it with proper techniques and it isn't solely swinging and thrusting weapons.
That's what makes the difference between seasoned fighters and armed chucklefuck newbies.
One uses a constant and dynamic style of constantly connecting hits with and without the weapon; while the other only focuses with the weapons and disregards their free arms and legs in those moments when the weapons can't be pulled in time.
