Do we like this kino? Already looks better than Star Trek Di

Seeing Seth MacFarlane has been enough to put me off watching the trailers for months, but I finally watched it today and I'm happy I did.

I get a real good Galaxy Quest vibe from it. So if they can do that mix of poking fun at the genre, while also showing it some love then they should succeed. It's about being able to say "We know this shit is cheesy, but it's got a heart and a message".

Can the Orville marketing team please stop relying on Discovery as a crutch?

Every Orville post on /tv/, EVER, invokes Discovery. Look through the archives! There isn't one Orville thread which doesn't mention Discovery.

I know Star Trek is about space welfare but this is a "bridge" too far. Promote your dumb show without relying on Discovery!
