Yeah he did. For years he was depicted as an emotionally distant weirdo whose horrifying social interactions were kept in balance by his genius-level intellect and his natural talents as a doctor.

He was in the wrong, something we hardly ever saw on the show. We've seen him super tough-as-nails for shit about his leg and refusing to have it amputated, but he never did anything out of emotion or love or sadness.

He was really upset, so much so that he crashed his car into Cuddy's house. A huge over-reaction.

He was in the wrong, but I think it was incredible storytelling.
