What did we get with Jeyne? Her mother giving her moontea killing a chance for an heir and have someone Robb's mom could be disappointed about. One of the only things she really says about Jeyne is childbirth would be hard for her small hips and that. A one night stand and a vegas wedding.

Talissa we get some build up. Boy meets girl on battlefield. Girl tells Boy how shit his plan is. Boy falls for Girl. Relationship building before they bang. We get a wedding scene good chemistry and a pregnancy plus added weight with the Red Wedding. Well book wise Jeyne was somewhere in the Riverlands I think when the Red Wedding went down.

To top it off it fits what the show was going for a Robb focus where he messes up and the audience still roots for him. Well in the books its a Catlyn focus where we are so detached from Robb his death didn't have as much of a impact.
