Why did Star Wars launch Harrison Ford's career but ruin Mark Hamill"s?

Because Mark Hamill got in an accident that ruined his career.

So did Ford.

Are you really saying that Raiders is a bad movie? Come on, no one is this contrarian

>he doesn't like the indiana jones movies
why don't you just go back to your friends in al qaeda

His face, right? He looked fine in return of the Jedi though, are you saying he was too ugly to cast?
>>85303656
Also Mark enjoyed doing voice over roles and roles as villains. Each of which won't boost your star power.

(((Ford)))

For a few months his face looked like a doll. Look at how he looked in the Star Wars Holiday special, it's creepy as shit how much make up they put on.
Mark was the star of the movie really, his character was the focus for much of the trilogy while Ford had the luxury of the same massive boost to his profile but not having to hold the limelight which meant he didn't get typecast.

He was far from ugly after the crash but he definitely looked different. He was a beautiful boy with a strong Roman nose but then he got his face smashed in.
Because right after Star Wars Ford did movies people actually saw and Hamill did Corvette Summer, The Big Red One, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, and Britannia Hospital.
Then after Return of the Jedi Hamill focused on stage acting instead of his movie career. He played Mozart in Amadeus but didn't get the role in the film version because producers were worried he'd only be seen as Luke Skywalker.
Finally Hamill came back to movies with Splitstream, which bombed. After that it was time for low-budget shlock and voice acting roles to pay the bills.
The sad thing is he's ten times the actor Ford is.

He was also main character of Wing Commander franchise, but when they actually went and made a movie out of it, it was a goddamn reboot.
