I think the second best part about this show after Betty's lip biting is that it jumped the shark in episode 5 when we learn Betty's great-grandfather was murdered over maple syrup.
But seriously, this show would be better if we actually saw them spend any time with each other. They barely interact as people - it's 80% them off on their own stories that have little to do with anything else and the rest is sleuthing.

For me it was when I was supposed to hate Betty's parents fro sending her sister to a home for Trouble teens. Despite the fact that her sister is underage pregnant and was about to run away from home with her boyfriend. Who was going to sell drugs to pay for their life.

Expect that they didn't. She was still preggers. Also she a teen mom. Unless you are a huge Jesus fan. He wasn't wrong into trying to get her to do these thing.
