Not a bad year for pleb entertainment and blockbusters, at least. Apes, Logan and Dunkirk are refreshing blockbusters since they're made by competent filmmakers attached to a classic, noble tradition of the craft, instead of disjointed tonedeaf messes fucked up by execs note, reshoots and pandering to idiots. Meanwhile the disappointing results of shitty products like Mummy or Pirates is proof that even the plebs are tiring of being constantly insulted. I hope it'll change for the better but I know it won't.

Cannes was complete shit this year, arthouse cinema is dead, completely rotten by navel-gazing, lack of technical talent and insane leftism.
