ATTENTION

According to leaks from reliable sources who wish to remain anonymous The Doctor is exclusively attraced to women - effectively making the new, female Doctor a Lesbian.
Since this is the Doctor's first regeneration as a woman he/shse is highly uncomfortable as a woman and there will be a whole story arc throughout the next season about the Doctor trying to find a way to turn "him" into a man again, without having to waste a regeneration, (apperantly not an easy thing for a time lord) The new Doctor will therefore be a transexual of sorts.
The new companion will be a homosexual black man who is also disabled / sits in a wheelchair. He will be healed by sci-fi future medicine in episode 2 though His boyfriend will have a prominent role throughout the seasons, traveling with the doctor multiple times as well.
The Story of Episode 3 will be about a seemingly all-female race of aliens that is attacked by "monsters" every night. It turns out the "monsters" are the males in their Society whoe live as outcasts in the desert.
In a later episode we get to meet these female aliens again a few hundred years later. Their males are now working as slaves in underground mines and are regularly milked for their semen. The Doctor decides to not intervene.

This is a common misconception. He was meant to play one of the monks in The Bells of Saint John but reshoots saw a different actor play the role that was eventually used in the episode. While I do look forward to the writing being very likely stronger under Chibnall, I get the feeling that when he talks about how different/fresh things will be under him.. well let's just say it's a very strong possibility that his run will have even less nods to the classic series than RTD's did. I came here so that i wasnt alone in my emotion, i mean i genuinely am distraught over 13th doctor being a girl. I mean theres been some moments over the years, but this really is dancing on ice now, like how could you just kill a 50 year old series like this?

But what makes it worse (and im not saying there should be a blinding uproar) is that i dont really see anyone talking about it.

Which makes me think A) people here dont care, which is fine, or B) people here agree, which really ISN'T fine.

There is absolutely no justification for the doctor being a girl, firstly, even though each doctor has wildly differing personalities, there have always been certain ideals that he's stuck to, e.g hating goodbyes

Another one of these ideals is hating change. More specifically, Peter Capaldi's last moments were all focused on how he hated change and doesn't want to keep going through change (with regeneration being literally the biggest change a person can experience). So this man who is ancient and older than most things in the universe, and hates change with a passion, suddenly decides 'actually i'll be a girl'

There is NO justification for it as far as i can see, thats why i came to /tv/, in hopes that either;

Someone can show me a certain way to look at it which means i can still watch doctor who

OR

Someone flat out proves me wrong

Doctor Who has literally been about change forever, and you haven't even watched the Christmas special that will be all about the Doctor deciding to regenerate into 13. The Doctor is not a human, and like he said in S10, Time Lords are "billions of years beyond your petty obsession with gender and its associated stereotypes". Being a man is not a core part of the Doctor and besides, he's literally never even be a human man anyway.

Remember, there were some people freaking out like you are now when Hartnell regenerated, when the show became earthbound, when Tom Baker left, when the show was cancelled, when the show was revived, etc etc etc. The show has always been about change, and it's a personal choice whether to embrace that and enjoy the ride and the moments where the show works best for you, or to gnash your teeth and literally never stop complaining, because the show will always be moving forward.

Don't be silly. When Delgado died and the original plan for his 'true ending' had to be scrapped, it removed the power of any future writer to truly end that story themselves. The day they brought him back as a zombie for Deadly Assassin, artificially extending his run beyond what was originally intended and introducing the possibility of multiple actors, was the day they sealed the Master as a permanent fixture of the series.
The Master keeps coming back because it just makes sense for the Doctor to have a nemesis that changes like he does, you can do whatever story you want with it. RTD wrote his 'final end' in EoT just as Moffat wrote Missy's, but nobody deserves to have the final say.
