Space Cop is a pathetic embarrassment.
You'd think while making it they would have stopped and asked themselves if spending their time and money making such a terrible movie was worth it, but given the end result it seemed like such a question never really crossed their mind. It's clear from the first frame to the very end that Space Cop was not a film made to please anyone; it's dull, unfunny, and worst of all it hides behind such a thick wall of irony and cynicism that it's impossible to take seriously. You could even go so far as to say RLM's entire philosophy of filmmaking, and film reviewing, hinges on such dishonesty. Films purposefully made to be "so bad they're good" rarely ever end up being any good, but this is particularly true in Space Cop's case. Had they actually put any semblance of honesty and sincerity into their film maybe Space Cop would have been a better film, and a more enjoyable experience overall. The difference between Space Cop and the films they destroy on BOTW is that many of those films were made by people who really strove to make something good. RLM are no different to the people they criticize on the show for making garbage for the sole purpose of making money.
