Well English isn't my first language, so I had to look up a fair amount of words (really easy on an e-reader fortunately), more so than in a modern more literary novel, it was mostly historical stuff. Once you learned the vernacular and style he used you noticed that he repeated words and phrases pretty heavily.

Beneath were bones like milkglass, pale and shiny, and they were melting too. Finally only the dragonglass dagger remained, wreathed in steam as if it were alive and sweating. Grenn bent to scoop it up and flung it down again at once. “Mother, that’s cold.”

>“Obsidian.” Sam struggled to his knees. “Dragonglass, they call it. Dragonglass. Dragon glass.” He giggled, and cried, and doubled over to heave his courage out onto the snow.

She's being manipulated by Littlefinger and all the other poisonous people she met in King's Landing. If she conticues that path, she will die and doom her brother even though she's trying to protect her brother.

Sansa sees that Jon is rightous and good hearted, the same thing that got all of her family killed. So she's turning all cold and following bad advice because she thinks only that will save the North and her family.

The twist though is that Sansa doesn't realize that if she continues this she will not only doom herself and the north, she will become just like those evil people that killed her family. She won't actually care about Jon and the North. Just like Cercei, she will just want power.

That's what Littlefinger is trying to do, turn her into the perfect Winter Queen while he takes the throne for himself.
