Serious question, does the Doctor's sexual orientation change when he regenerates? Not necessarily from a gender change but in general. I mean a lot of people say he's asexual, but it's kind of obvious in recent years he's favored women. Each regeneration has it's own personality and tastes, but does something like orientation change? Regardless I'm hoping Chibnall just drops the romantic aspects of the character.

I don't see why Doctor Who being a family show means it can't be shot in 2:1. I mean, there are plenty of children/family films shot in 21:9 and that doesn't make them any less family friendly or "fun."
The real draw is that Broadchurch is shot in anamorphic and tends to have fantastic cinematography, and that sort of production value increase would only improve Doctor Who. Aside from the wonky CG TARDIS (which is likely because they didn't want a VFX team seeing the identity of 13), both 13th Doctor teasers are remarkably well shot and well above what we've seen in most recent seasons of Doctor Who.
