Given that the original was a boring piece of shit, that isn't saying much.
I'm a bit concerned with where they're taking the story.
Blade Runner had big concepts, but the plot itself was fairly small scale. An investigation, followed by Deckard taking out the replicants one by one,
2049 seems to have decided that we need to have a plot about changing the world and other overblown nonsense.
I'd have preferred another limited scale story set inside the Blade Runner universe.
