Pretty good list, but the Dawn remake is better than Land of the Dead.

I've never seen day. Tried downloading it once but couldn't find any decent links. It'd help if it was on youtube.

It has better action and the first ten minutes are very good but Land has better characters and more original ideas.

To update the movie for modern audiences. Other than being filmed in color, better effects and expanding the Barbara character the two movies are identical. It's probably the most faithful remake ever filmed, which is a good thing because it discourages other people from remaking the film while staying so true to the original that they're basically the same movie. Savini protected the brand, without him somebody would've eventually made a remake that was completely different from the original and you'd have a bunch of people crawling out of the woodwork to say it was better than the original. Even if people say they prefer Savini's Night it's so close to the original that Romero will still gets the credit.
