why is the color temperature so different wtf

I never saw it. But I know what you mean about the atmosphere of shitty quality rips.

The first time I saw the ring it was a cam and it was poor quality but honestly added to the creepy atmosphere and was almost like watching a found footage. This would not work with every movie, but some it really adds to the enjoyment and immersion.
