Just saw this film. I know some critics ate it up, but honestly it didn't live up to the hype for me. This 'gritty' and 'raw' film just felt like someone took the superhero concept and said fuck it, let's add loads of swearing and violence to make it feel more mature.
Logan had its moments, but as a non-comic book fan, the film just didn't have that much weight to it. What does /tv/ think of it?
pure cape kino
style over substance
I mean how can anyone seriously say this is serious and gritty when he fights a fucking clone of himself? It's the hammiest shit I've seen in any capeshit

Pretty much this t b h
Going into the film, with the way people were talking it up, I was expecting a genuinely well told story with some heavy themes. Instead I got a pretty typical superhero film with a r-rated skin. Bit of a let down
The first 2/3rds were interesting and a fresh take on a comic book movie. Last part could have been pulled out of any half assed x-men movie and sucked. Worse, the adamantium bullet shouldn't have killed X-24 or Logan, so it felt like a "quick get this shit over with" plot device.

Dropped it after five minutes
Cayo depues de cinco minutos
>let's copy Shane but worse

tbqh it was different, had fewer quips, and characters weren't invincible
didn't like how professor Xmade them stay at the farmer's house and end up getting the entire family killed
Unlike superhero movies, there is nobody to spoonfeed you feelings and motivations, maybe that is an advantage.
I didn't see anything special
but then again I wanted capeshit

I actually enjoyed it a whole lot. I though it was well-acted and I definitely preferred it to the usual lighthearted stuff. I also liked the Western feel to it. The only letdown for me was how easily Zander and Pierce died.
