Just saw this film. I know some critics ate it up, but honestly

I mean how can anyone seriously say this is serious and gritty when he fights a fucking clone of himself? It's the hammiest shit I've seen in any capeshit

Going into the film, with the way people were talking it up, I was expecting a genuinely well told story with some heavy themes. Instead I got a pretty typical superhero film with a r-rated skin. Bit of a let down

The first 2/3rds were interesting and a fresh take on a comic book movie. Last part could have been pulled out of any half assed x-men movie and sucked. Worse, the adamantium bullet shouldn't have killed X-24 or Logan, so it felt like a "quick get this shit over with" plot device.

didn't like how professor X made them stay at the farmer's house and end up getting the entire family killed

Unlike superhero movies, there is nobody to spoonfeed you feelings and motivations, maybe that is an advantage.

I actually enjoyed it a whole lot. I though it was well-acted and I definitely preferred it to the usual lighthearted stuff. I also liked the Western feel to it. The only letdown for me was how easily Zander and Pierce died.
