It's funny how people can have polar opposite experiences with the same thing. Personally, the whole reason I didn't like it was precisely because I didn't think it had any kind of charm. I also felt that the chemistry between Emily and Kat had completely disappeared, as well. But, to each his own. Glad you enjoy it more.

I enjoy anachronisms and different takes in a lot of the media I consume. Also it fits in with the more spoopy side of things I enjoy, playing off wendigo myths and stuff.

Also weird-eyed bridget with the blood face leads to positive feelings.

Would watch if they got the right creative team. But it would really need to do its own thing. Knowing how studios are they'd just reboot it into quirky melodrama.
