As someone who just watched it and really liked it, every "emotion" shot of an ape went on for like 2 seconds too long. The movie could have been legitimately 10 minutes shorter if they weren't so committed to making you feel for the apes.
Particularly the Nova feeding Caesar scene, it was like 5 separate shots of her slowly smiling.

I agree. I also saw all the originals right before seeing the first two prequels so my vested interest is pretty high. Really enjoyed this last one.
