This wasn't as bad as people claim.
Sure, the low budget behind the movie is obvious, but the CGI was still good, and the plot was relatively interesting. Plus, I got to see Kelly Carlson's tits.
So, honestly, why do people hate this movie so much?

This desu. Starship Troopers is first and foremost a war film series, not horror.

Alright, that's a valid point.

Now that's hardly a reason to consider the movie bad. I, for one, appreciated the more localized, indoors adventure. Felt more claustrophobic. And provided a good reason for introducing a new type of bug.

I think this movie would have been accepted better if it was presented as a spin-off, not a sequel.
