Two weeks is plenty of turn over time. People who see Fast 9 will come back in two or three weeks to see the new Avengers. Its even beneficial to release it at that time because everyone seeing the new F&F flick will also be seeing all of the posters, displays and trailers, it'll get them in. The new Avengers isn't going to flop I'm disappointed to say, but I do think that the movies after it are going to under perform. If the infinity war is supposed to be this big climax to the decade of movies they've been making who is going to care about what comes after?

But whats up with Star Wars 9 releasing in May 2019? Only a year and a half from 8 and half a year from the han Solo abortion doesn't sound like much time to churn out a movie.
