She made it sound like the entire world went on as normal except for a bunch of empty houses were left.
Life in a 2% world would be unrecognisable, Nora said the fucking streetlights still turned on at night, but where is the power coming from?
Her family wouldn't be living in the same house, either the entire country would be relocated to a smaller area - or there would be no functioning government at all.
Also how did the doctor have the resources to build a new machine with 98% of the worlds power, resources and workers gone?
People who believe she was telling the truth are the same people who actually believe Kevin was going to the afterlife. I don't think I've ever seen a show misunderstood this hard.
