I think we all know who was the real protagonist in the Pirates of the Carribean movies.

>got them to davy jones locker with ease
>showed no fear as he drove them through a whirlpool
>cut off his own leg just to survive, tricks the english into making him a captain, and still kills blackbeard
>ends up taking command of the most powerful vessel aside from the Dutchmen
>looks an undead spanish pirate killer in the face and outwits the fuck out of him to the very end

Meanwhile, Jack sparrow just runs around like a fool.

even different ones at Disney have admitted over the various movies that Barbossa has become the reason why everyone goes to see the movies.

Only way I see him being permanently being killed off is if the actor decides to give it up, but last time I read anything Geoffrey always has fun making the movies and shit so who knows.
