During the Cold War it was pretty conservative I guess because of the McCarthyism and J. Edgar exiling all the lefties, also in past decades there was more conservative filmmakers in Hollywood like all the people involved Westerns and they weren't drive out by the Left sector of the industry unlike they are trying to do today, though the place has always been degenerate since it's inception

It's pretty sad that a great film like Some Like It Hot is only discussed on /tv/ as entry-level bait by a mouth-breathing millenial.
