If you are still up I can tell you for seasons four and five I used my cousins HBOGO account to watch the show on my computer. Sometimes I would have problems, besides the obvious couple times you had to wait for it to show up, with it freezing up and shit while so many people tried to watch it. Not an internet service problem but with hbo nation wide. With season six I eventually just gave up because it was so slow and glitchy while it was first put up for an hour or so and I got my own hbo subscription to watch on tv. With the hbo cable subscription I add it and drop it as I please no problems. HBO now is probably the same.

This has only become a problem because the story has become way too long.

Having the opening to the first book set up a supernatural threat, only for the rest of the book be about petty war and political intrigue, was a great idea. The original set-up of the supernatural threat put the war in a special context that filled the reader with dread. Every time a great general or soldier died, every time a field or castle was burned... we winced. We know what the true cost of all this bloodshed is but the belligerents do not.

However it starts to feel imbalanced when 5 books in we are still 95% petty war between houses and politics and it is clear all this war isn't even over.

It means that by the time the supernatural threat shows up there won't be much story left. So why have the supernatural shit at all?
