Probably, you can hate Seth but he clearly likes Star Trek.

The first couple of episodes will be funny but the premise will quickly grow old. Doubt it will last more than one season but will leave us with some good quotes.

It's not the female Asian captain, it's the design. The costumes are wrong, the ship looks Gothic, alien and nineties, it's set in the wrong period for no reason. Star Trek has never been other than ultra-liberal, so the captain isn't an issue.
