Which is a better example of a connected universe?
The carefully planned massive film-making giant that created a new genre every couldn't wait to copy, full of endearing new character revisions, awe-inspiring visuals, and palpable character growth?
Or the lazy grey rippoff full obnoxious "deconstructions," horrible characters that betray the foundation of their identities, hilariously awful storytelling choices, cloying symbolism, and literally one passable movie.
Inb4 quips.
The one able to win oscars, obviously

Didn't the Grinch win that category too?
the DCEU
this scene alone weaves a better connected universe than everything marlel has ever done

>literally one passable movie.
Well Marvel doesn't have any passable movies so I guess the answer is the other one
>>84842984
Probably the DCEU, these films set up other films, the consequences of MoS lead to BvS, BvS lead to SS and WW lead into BvS and lays a small amount of groundwork for JL.
Marvelfags are too insecure even for bants these days.
How are the MCU movies even connected to each other? 99% of the runtime they are like standalone flicks and then they have a credit scene with a character from another movie. The only reason they feel connected is because they have the same plot structure and the same characters with different powers
BvS is a direct sequel of MoS, SS references the death of Superman and the entire plot of WW is connected to the motivation of the character in BvS

Hardly

I grow weary of your insolence, DC peasant

It's the same scene from two different perspectives showing the impact of the events of a film onto the next. What has the MCU done at that level? The closest thing I can think of would be Ironmans nightmares because of the nuke scene in the Avengers or maybe the reasons for Civil War
But so far every DCEU film has been built on the last, with Wonder Woman's being somewhat on an exception

>Aliens threaten to invade earth
>Bruce still makes his employees go to work
>Mad at superman that they get killed

DC
>The arrival of Superman is a world-changing event, signifying that we are not alone in the universe and also that there are beings out there who are far more powerful and technologically advanced. The graceful alien brings both hope and fear to a cynical post 9/11 society.
>His existence brings other powerful beings out of hiding, including members of his own race who come to Earth after being alerted of his presence and kill thousands of humans in an effort to reshape the land for their colonization. It also awakens Diana Prince, the Wonder Woman, a legendary warrior from the early 20th century, and the Batman, who has operated in the broken city of Gotham for over two decades and became determined to destroy the alien.
>Kryptonian technology is left behind, studied, and reverse-engineered by human scientists. This include Lex Luthor who utilizes Kryptonian technology to kill the Superman and communicate with other hostile races across the stars.
>The Death of Superman inspires the Batman to assemble a union of metahumans who can protect the planet in the event of an emergency.
Marvel
>Tony Stark becomes Iron Man after being captured by terrorists and creating his own armor to escape. He becomes a celebrity superhero.
>Months later, Captain America's frozen body is discovered after being searched for for nearly 70 years, Thor is cast out of Asgard after living there for centuries by Odin and sent to Earth, the Hulk is widely seen by the public for the first time, and Iron Man also killed a competing Russian engineer at a technology fair. These four events coicidentally all occurred within one weekend. This is canon.
>A year later, these four people agree to become servants of the US government with little resistance.

If we dont talk about quality of the movies, its DC for sure. Marvel usualy have just little links that connect movies.

>His existence brings other powerful beings out of hiding
This is also mentioned in SS when Waller referenced the story of Goliath to the other military officials.
