Beat 'em up flicks have been around for awhile now as pretty much the male counterpart to the chick-flick. During this nice peaceful period between the two sexes, it was understood by all that these genres were stupid. Every once in a while, a good movie would come from one of these genres that everyone could enjoy--see Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, When Harry Met Sally, What Women Want, Jerry Maguire. These films crossed the genre line and were celebrated for not being as stupid and shlocky as everything else in the genre. Of course, everybody still went and saw all the other ones that were shit, the important part being that everyone knew they were kind of shit. The fact that they did not even take themselves seriously was pretty much their sole redeeming character.

Ender Turd-Wave Feminism. Chicks must be dudes, but totally sexy and fabulous. You might think something like Atomic Blonde is just like Charlie's Angels, but you'd be completely wrong.
