This was really good, the best video game adaptation ive seen so far. But it has some problems. The writing could definitely use some work. The amount of swearing is pretty unnecessary for the time its taking place in, for one. Also, I wasnt convinced by Trevors change of heart. The only thing that makes me feel like he changed his mind is because he wants to fug Sypha.

I really like that theyve done reasonably accurate accents for some of the Wallachians, but why do some have totally different accents? I can understand a few like the Belmonts having a different one, but the citizens should pretty much all have it.

SPOILERS AHEAD I GUESS

First is that when they fell down to where Alucard was, that seemed a bit over the top, like that thing breaks, then that piece, then that piece, kinda like the scene from the first Hobbit movie with the goblins

Second, why was there a hidden panel to wake up Alucard? Was he gonna wake up on his own eventually, or was he just hoping someone would step in that specific spot?

Dracula has a talent for never actually dying in the games.

There isn't really anything that says that hunters haven't been paying him a visit during that time.

Dracula needs a wife if the story of SotN is true, and it gives Alucard a nice introduction and reason to fight.

Episodes 1/2 were kind of dog shit (though you have to watch them to have the proper context for everything).

However, episode 3 was pretty good, episode 4 was great (although obviously rushed to force in the end within the four episodes).

I think this series is worth a watch, and should end up better for the next "season" now that they actually got the ball rolling.


That is if people don't tune out before getting through the first 2 episodes.

I hope it makes enough money for Netflix to keep bankrolling it long enough to get JUSTe Belmont.

This is based on old Castlevania (specifically Castlevania 3 with touches of Symphony of the Night). They DID borrow the Belmont sigil from Lords of Shadow, though, which was an odd choice which I could see causing some confusion.
