It's even very simple things like car chases, Batman drives in one room and in the next scene he is in a completely different place, or police cars chase one guy in one scene on the right site and get crashed and in the next scene they are perfectly fine and on the left site.

Casino Royale is great, and from the same director as GoldenEye. The others are from meh to forgettable. Sam Mendes did make some pretty fucking movies though, if cinematography alone works for you. When I re-watched Quantum of Solace with the subtitles on, I liked it better.
I don't think it's shit. It is a bit of a rehash of earlier films and the Borne Identity editing gripes are legit but it's a solid Bond film that didn't overstay its' welcome (shortest running time).

My only real problem was plane scenes and the was that part ended with the parachute opening RIGHT ABOVE A CAVE OPENING. Though that's not too far from what Fleming would've come up with, so there's that.

Re-watching it is a must. It keeps getting better with repeated viewings. For one thing, it helps you make sense of all the jittery editing. The nuances really start to come out. For another, the plotting and references back to Casino become clearer.

I watched it again a few months ago with my dad and he was pointing out that opening scene car chase was done on the most slippery slopes for cars -- circling a pit (marble quarry) and that was probably lost on most viewers. Especially since it was never spoon fed; you just had to know. Which I didn't.

I do like the themes, as well. The Atacama desert (least rainfall on earth) and the water rights leading to the end, "I'd bet you'd make it 5 miles before even considering drinking that." [oil] ... or whatever the line was ... when everybody thought he was after the oil.
