The implications behind "attack on free speech" is people are saying others shouldn't be allowed to spew nonsense, and if any group operating under such rhetoric gains too much power, then any opinions that are against the groupthink will come to be viewed as double plus ungood.

There is also the fact speech is only protected from government reprisal. Which has come to mean it isn't protected at all, as corporate entities are more powerful than govenment entities and reprisals can and will come from entities under zero obligation to respect free speech.

So yea, free speech is under attack and it won't even need to be removed from the constitution before it is functionally removed completely.
