I honestly feel like they shouldn't have named him Flash Thompson. The character himself was obviously a rich petty brat that clearly got in to that School because of his parents. They should have named him something else and completely forget about trying to make Flash Thompson again for the third time.

As for Zendaya's character, I liked her as well as a character but not as an adaptation of Mary Jane. I hope they just make her an original character because she works like that. I hope they don't introduce Mary Jane and rather try new characters that haven't been on screen yet.

Well, I'm talking more about the characteristics of his personality and background. He was changed from your typical football bully jock to a rich bratty know it all bully. It make sense for the setting of the movie since the School is more Science and Tech oriented and not your typical High School. But if that was the case and they had to change Flash Thompson's characteristics so drastically, why not just make him another original character all together?

I just felt that the portrayal of Flash Thompson isn't faithful to how he is in the comics. If he would have been a Black Football playing Jock, I would have been fine with that because his characteristics are the same. Like for Lex Luthor in BvS, he is still white(I fucking know Eisenberg is Jewish, but for the movie he is most likely white) but he acts like the Joker.
