I personally dislike early Simpsons. Call me a pleb, but the Conan O'Brien era is when it felt right.

4 and 5 are hands down the best. 1 and 2 they were trying to find out who the family was, and after 10 it was shit.

Yeah, 3 is a good place to start. Once you hit season 10, if you want you can pick up season 2 and then season 1.
