The first Wrong Turn movie was kinda like that.
It had a lot of those moments where you wanted to yell at the chacters to stop doing stupid shit in a scene, and most of the time they did. ...they still got killed and shit happened, but they weren't retarded.
Even at the end of the movie, they think the bad guys are dead (again), and theres this truck on this hill or something full of explosives, and i'm like

and they do, and I was pretty satisfied.
