No one at the actual theater gives a shit or gives me a second glance but my friends and family seem sad when I tell them I went alone because since I'm 19 they assume I would never go alone willingly and just couldn't get anyone to go with me. Although one time at the theater a group of girls saw me alone and looked pitying and I think they assumed I was on a date and got stood up lol.

I had a friend in high school who would hold viewing parties at her house, talk nonstop during them, and then yell at everyone to shut up even if they were barely talking during parts she deemed important. she was also a fucking idiot when it came to symbolism so I often had to talk her through the most basic things in films. I always watch movies alone now.

movies are really better watched alone or at home with someone who isn't annoying.

in cinema

>the people next to you could be annoying as fuck
>loud chewing sounds
>people walking in front of the screen
>can't pause the movie to take a shit or a piss
>have to dress up and can't watch movie in my payjamas or naked

the only plus is you see the movie fresh and on a huge screen with good sound

compared to alone at home its total shit tho

>can skip boring parts and not forced to watch ads
>can watch from my bed wearing comfy clothes or be naked

the only other person I have been watching movies with is my sister but she is annoying, she constantly asks dumb shit, constantly gets calls on her phone so we have to pause, constantly forgets to scratch my legs and asks dumb shit about the plot.

only plus here is I can massage her feet and cuddle with her during the movie
