ok some thoughts so far

>the sets look amazing and feel like a continuation of the aesthetic from alien and aliens with the color scheme from 3
>digital and CGI stuff is hit or miss but its better than than out today
>these space smugglers are huge dicks and barely a team, how did these guys even stand each other
>ripley's alien like mannerisms and demeanor are spot on but other than that she's a dead end, there's nothing else to her
>the shootout after the double cross is stupidly staged and executed, especially the last guard who just yells after all the others just got offed (except for the mexicano), clearly not a director with eye for action
>brad dourif is a great addition, very nice spin on the mad scientist
>every alien up to now has been great...
>...until the encounter after the white smuggler guy is killed, I felt like this was a Raptor from Godzilla (1998) than any other alien in previous movies: slow, dumb and only effective when the plot says so and by then it's too late
