No, the French army and some british units were left behind as a rear guard. Basically the various leaders of the Luftwaffe wanted to show how good the German air force was and wipe the British and french out on the beaches while denying the Royal Navy access to the beaches themselves. As we can see, it didn't go so well for the Germans.

The influx of American supplies helped out come Spring, but it wasn't until November 1942 that the tide really started turning to the Soviets, and even then, only slowly at first.

Fighting on two fronts was a dumb idea and they stretched themselves too thin.

It is true that american supplies helped to win the world, and them joining hastened the end of the world war.

It is also true that cracking the enigma code and being able to launch strategic missions weakening germany's hold on fronts was also crucial.

It is also true that the germans fighting russia on an opposite front meant they had to split their forces and supplies, rendering them weaker.

Anyone who thinks one country was the key reason for winning the war is retarded when clearly multiple factors affected the outcome.
