the first 6 books in the About Time series by Tat Wood and Lawrence Miles are the best DW reference books I've ever read. I constantly refer back to them when watching the original series.

Hey, /who/! It's been a while!

I just watched the Series 10 two-parter finale and it was bretty fuggin good. I dropped the show during series 7, came back for the Capaldick, and was utterly devastated by how wasted he was on the series. Couldn't make it all the way through series 9, tried again with series 10 and dropped it out of sheer frustration at 'history is a whitewash'. But a friend of mine told me that the finale was some of the best Who in years so I had to give it a shot, and I was not disappointed.

I would seriously like to hope that this is the point where I can get back on board with the show, new Doctor, new showrunner... hopefully new companion because sweet fuck if Clala comes back for anything beyond the Christmas special I'm shooting up the BBC

On a side note I just rewatched Hell Bent last night and that episode has the biggest fucking missed opportunity in all of nuWho, and especially one that could've easily been added to the episode. The scene where The Doctor forgets Clala would've been 10x more emotional if she said "run you clever boy, and remem..." and trails off realizing that he won't remember her. I remember watching the episode when it aired and being shocked that she didn't say that. Moffat fucking loves using catchphrases in different contexts to make scenes more emotional (12 saying "hello, sweetie", etc) so you'd think that'd be a given for him, but I guess not. Then again Moffat didn't have 11 say geronimo once in Time of the Doctor, so who knows

Would /who/ want to do a rewatch of NuWho leading up to Capaldi's final episode? If we start on August 4th we'd be able to watch an episode a day starting with Rose and finishing with this years Christmas Special. If we just wanted to skip ahead to Moffat-era we could start on October 3rd, but that's a while away and I don't really see the point in skipping RTD's run.
