I love fun movies but this left me often bored and only sometimes mildly entertained. It takes no risks, the music gimmick doesn't pay off very well, and the plot is predictable at best and non-existent at worst. It was just so bland. I never thought a movie about a deaf, music loving crime driver starring (insert eccentric actor's name here) could be so dry. I mean overall I thought is was ok but it's way overrated.

I think there should be a different way to approach movies like this, which go for pure style. The plot was fairly simple and the characters worked together a little too conveniently, but I think it's crazy not to credit Wright for how well the film is edited and paced.
