>"the act of killing" is the best documentary i have ever seen
I co-sign this. it's pure insanity. The follow up The Look of Silence is essential viewing too.
An Honest Liar is a pretty recent doc that is really amazing. It's about a magician who takes down fakers, conmen and televangelists. it's like a spy movie.
Anything by Errol Morris is worth watching, especially his political stuff (Unknown Known, Fog of War, Standard Operating Procedure, etc.)
The Story of Anvil is good /mu/ material.
indie game the movie bro

Untill The Light Takes Us
>The history of the Norwegian Black Metal scene. Varg is interviewed in prison and Gylvie still living a black metal dream in his shitty one bedroom apartment. It gets into how black metal was labeled satanic and there is some ridiculous footage of a young Harmony Korine. But, that's more for fa/tv/irgins than /mu/tants,

Hated: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies
>GG Allin was fucked up. He liked to cut himself, be naked, throw feces, hang out with serial killers and make mediocre music. The bands sets tended to be brief and violent. GG himself states that he is a psychopath and without music would likely be in prison. First film by director Todd Phillips who went on to impress the world with The Hangover trilogy and Old School.

We Jam Econo: The Story of the Minutemen
>Story of 80's hardcore band Minutemen. This one is beautiful because Mike Watt and George Hurley are beautiful. A tragic end to a great band mostly remembered for Double Nickels on the Dime.
