>There are people on this board RIGHT NOW who rank The Empire Strikes Back over Return Of The Jedi
Return had:
>Luke taking out Jabba the Hutt's criminal syndicate
>Leia in a steel bikini
>the original podracing scene in the forest
>the chair lifting scene where Luke uses the force
>the storytelling scene
>the absolute kino scene with the Emperor's throne room, yielding quotes like "your overconfidence is your weakness" "your faith in your friends is yours"
>the climactic battle scene
>Ewoks go full on tribal insurrection against the troopers
>the ebullient celebration scene at the end
Empire had:
>20 minutes of pointless plot useless time on Hoth before 10 minutes of a cool fight scene that ended quickly
>Han and Leia wander around in the butthole of the galaxy
>muh sitcom-tier "the Hyperdrive isn't working" subplot
>Luke learns telekinesis from a hobo living in a swamp
>Boba Fett, the most overrated villain in movie history
>a dramatic reveal scene followed by Luke falling down a garbage chute
I mean, why?

All Star Wars is shit and its fanbase is the most cancerous in history.
>caring about children's adventures from before you were born this much
Clean your room.
Empire didn't have ewoks and all those boring village scenes

Besides the tree village scenes, RoTJ is great. Fuck the special editions though.

This, the ewoks were stupid but otherwise ROTJ is the GOAT
>>84520222
It's funny that you'd say that because the canadian hack is doing the same thing Lucas did: ripping off Campbell (by himself a writer full of problems) and trying to add a very obvious manicheist, judeo-christian twist to the whole thing.

Also, Jung is absolutely retarded and the fact that the anglosphere would rather believe his blavatskian babble than actually try and engage with actually interesting thinkers like Lacan, Freud or Reich only goes to show how inferior the anglo mind is. Keep trying to fuck your MRI machines and be heroes in a world of NPCs, you fucking sheep.

It's a great film no doubt but the ewok scenes really kill the pacing of the movie and put it a point or two behind ESB.
I still enjoy rewatching it more than A New Hope though and the Tatooine/Death Star II scenes are amazing.

>caring about what people you've never met think about how you think this much
Clean your subjectively real room.

Dumb fogposter.
There are also people who don't give a shit about Star Wars.
