The formica table is an everyday object (nothing weird or supernatural about it). It's from "our world". This scene implies that the Ring is made out of part of the formica table (while the midget says "green is its color" you can clearly see a circular hole in the top of the table).

Essentially it means that the Arm has "wedded" the spirit world to the everyday, material world with the ring (a supernatural object created using part of a mundane one). It gives the Lodge power over anyone who puts it on, and allows the supernatural to creep into everyday life. Anyone who came into contact with the ring (Theresa Banks, Chester Desmond, Laura, Dougie) disappears or dies.
