My memory of it is hazy so please bear with me here. I kinda remember in one episode where for some reason Stan was talking to Francine about what he would do if he became homeless. Something about sleeping under cars. Then later on there's a serious scene that plays out with a cheating guy leaving the house of his lover and when he pulls away you see that Stan was sleeping under his car and he gets up and says "good morning". It sounds stupid but I remember getting a good laugh out of it.

Rogers personas keep him from being a stale one-note character, but the show as a whole does a better job of giving everyone something unique to offer. How often do you get just Chris or Meg or Lois centered episodes of Family Guy? Compare to Steve and Francine episodes being the best in AD.
