Yes. X-men dark Phoenix is going to be the last x-men film in the original series, of which they are going to launch a reboot in the marvel universe for the 20th anniversary. My guess is that they will also be including fantastic 4 as part of this as well. Deadpool will likely remain Ryan Reynolds though, and his movies will become retroactively cannon through some kind of fuckery. Not that it matters, if fox puts out that many superhero movies, added with all the spiderman movies and spinoffs planned and all the marvel movies planned, the superhero movie genre is gonna get over saturated and finally collapse. And that doesn't even include the DC movies. With 4 studios putting out 2 superhero movies a year on average, plus other comic book esc movies like star wars and avatar, the blockbuster hero movies are finally gonna collapse.

Let them release too many movies. People are already burned out on spiderman compared to the hype of the early 2000s movies, and will eventually get burned out on the rest as well. Marvel knows this, so they try to limit the cap and iron man movies to team up movies as to limit individual character exposure. However, this strategy only worked when Disney was the only one making a large quantity of superhero movies. Now, Sony, WB, Fox, and Disney are all planning on at least 2 superhero movies a year, which will ultimately lead to implosion due to over saturation.
