I've actually been watching BCS with /tv/. In my mind it's in a different category from the 'big shows' because it doesn't have an ever-present general thread (think of your /got/).

I think the good thing about this season of BCS is that all the BB fans have finally given up watching and/or trying to troll us (for example: by saying nothing happens/it's boring).

In my mind /tpg/ suffers from two groups butting heads and trolling each other. The first is people who like the feel-good & upbeat nature of the original seasons. They are struggling with the new show, and attacking it for being pretentious, edgy trash. The second group is the lynch fans who are pleased to have weird, creepy, dark version of twin peaks. They seem to take the show in a completely visceral way, and attack anyone who questions/criticizes the show by saying they lie in the first group. Obviously there are those in between but that is the basic dynamic that turned the discussion to shit.
