S1 was the best by a longshot. I liked S2 and S3, but they both had their issues. S3 especially had an issue with narrative structure and pacing. Too many characters with too much exposure, which made the last few episodes feel like a rush to conclude everything and the animosity between the protagonist and antagonist feel unjustified because they've barely encountered each other.
